With over 26 years of experience, including 21 years in the telecommunications sector, Nawal currently serves as the CEO of Orange Money Maroc since its establishment in 2019. She has been at the helm of the mobile money project since its inception, showcasing her leadership from the project’s outset.

Before her role as CEO, Nawal held the position of program management for large strategic projects at Orange Morocco. The successful rebranding to Orange was among the notable projects she managed.

In her earlier roles, Nawal was responsible for marketing Data Value Added services, which included overseeing 3G mobile internet and messaging. Additionally, she played a crucial role in the development of mobile content services in Morocco, serving as the Content and partnership Manager.

Nawal’s diverse experience and leadership have significantly contributed to the success and growth of various projects and initiatives within the telecommunications industry.

In addition to her professional career, Nawal is actively involved in various associations. She serves as the treasurer of APEP (Payment Establishments Professional Association) and holds the position of AIEM President (Mohammadia School of Engineering Alumni network). Ms. Sefrioui also became a member of CFA (Club des Femmes Administrateurs) in 2023.

Her brilliant career has earned her several distinctions, such as the Innovative Woman of the Year award presented by North Africa Com in 2021. Shortly after, she was appointed by the prestigious G100 as the Country Chair for Morocco in Engineering. Mrs. Sefrioui also featured in 2023 among “These Daring and Influential Women” a special edition of the magazine Challenge Hebdo on the occasion of Women’s Day. In January 2024, she was listed in the ” Top 100 African Leaders in Technology and Telecommunications ” by Africa Tech Festival.

Nawal holds an engineering degree in computer science from Mohammadia School of Engineering and an MBA in finance and marketing from Wayne State University (Fulbright scholar).
